Powering our future with weather, climate and water
23 March 2012
Each year, on 23 March, the World Meteorological Organization, its 189 Members and the worldwide meteorological community celebrate World Meteorological Day around a chosen theme. This day commemorates the entry into force, on that date in 1950, of the WMO Convention creating the Organization. Subsequently, in 1951, WMO was designated a specialized agency of the United Nations System.
This year, the theme is “Powering our future with weather, climate and water”

NEA"s workers visit in Finland

Worker"s three group from the National Environmental Agency of the Minisry of Environment visited Finland Environment Institute(SYKE) in Helsinki within Finish- Georgian project "Capacity building on the Water Monitoring and Management in Georgia, 2011-2013"("Georgia Waters").

International Speleological Expedition in France

Speleoclub of Limoges (France) held on 16-day expedition in August 2011, wich was devoted 20th anniversary of cooperation French and Georgian speleologists. georgian speleologists under the direction of M. Nikoladze took part in this expedition. From National Environmental Agency expedition member was George Geladze.
